Civil and Architectural Engineering laboratory
The Civil and Architectural Engineering laboratory is primarily a research lab for the department's doctoral students. However, student laboratories are also carried out for a few periods per academic year.
In the laboratory, among other things, mechanical testing is carried out on various types of materials, such as asphalt, concrete, and wood composite materials, etc.
Testing can take place in climate chambers to simulate different conditions. Testing of components in the various materials is also carried out. Such as e.g. bitumen and stone materials.

The lab takes care of, buys in, and manufactures materials and parts for both lab tests and field tests.
